Can your mindset really make a difference to your success or failure and ultimately impact your lives? Can the way that you choose to view problems, challenges and obstacles through to everyday occurrences influence your success? Can that path to success, be as simple as the mindset that you choose?
One of the simplest and most effective ways to create a Success Mindset is to control your responses and decisions and most often you will be asked to choose between a Fixed or a Growth Mindset response.
What is the difference between the two and why do the most successful people tend to choose a Growth Mindset?
What is a fixed mindset? It assumes that your character, intelligence and creative ability are what you are born with and characteristics that you are unable change, and that our success comes down only to our natural, skills or abilities.
What is a growth mindset? This mindset thrives on challenge and sees failure not as evidence of our unintelligence but as a heartening springboard for growth and for stretching our existing abilities.
One of the best and easiest example of a Growth Mindset in action is shown by athletes who choose to train against those better or more experienced than themselves rather than finding training partners that they know they can beat, This shows a true removal of ego and an investment by the athlete in wanting to stretch themselves and risk losing to gain greater gains in their improvement.
Below are some more examples of Growth Mindset thinking in action.
Could a basic pillar of success really be as simple as choosing the correct Mindset?
